Question:
Issue running my connection through my computer into my xbox, it says "limited connectivity"?

ok so im in college and im in my new dorm room, i have a belkin gigabit ethernet expresscard connected to my laptop and its wired so i have a wire running from the wall to the computer, i also have a crossover ethernet cable connecting my xbox and the other ethernet port on my computer, i set up internet connection sharing, but i cant get my xbox to get full access to either the local connection or the internet, all my computer will give me is "limited connectivity" with my xbox, does anyone know if this can be fixed, i just want something, local or internet, im trying to play halo 3 and local or internet would be amazing but i need help getting it up and running, please help, any help would be amazing

go to start -connect to -show all connections -right click with local area connection -properties - general - in this connections use this items - not check mark internet protocol -ok .that it's all .good luck !

Two possibilities:



You have ICS set up wrong (or the windows firewall is blocking the X-Box - turn it off), or the X-Box is complaining that ports 88 and 3074 aren't being forwarded to the X-Box. If that's the case, you can't fix it - the college isn't going to forward 2 prime ports to you (unless you happen to own the college). (You can only forward a particular port to a single computer on a network, and there are probablyundreds of other students who would like those ports forwarded to them.)



You can always buy your own DSL or cable internet service.

you can't fix it. it's just telling you that the connection to the xbox is limited because it's slowed down to 100Mb/s with the xbox.



make sure you're xbox has an ip and gateway assigned to it or make sure you have dhcp services enabled on your laptop.

buy a belkin or dynext wirless usb and plug it in ur usb plug on ur xbox
