So you want to get on the database at your office? Like the network shares and stuff like that?

If that is the case you might want to check out this link

http://logmein.com/

If you go there and sign up for an account you can install the software on your computer at work and you can remote control your computer at work as if you were sitting in front of it, this would allow you to have access to the network or in your case the database.

Logmein lets you have a free trial of their pro version which allows file transfering, printer sharing, etc...

But after your 14-day trial of that runs out they have a free version of the software which would just take away the printer sharing, file transfer, but thats really the only limitations of the free version of logmein.

I highly recommend logmein.

You would have to contact your network administrator, or just someone who manages the computers, because they might not allow remote control software such as logmein, but I would give it a try

and also with logmein, your computer does have to be turned on, but the good thing about this software is that you don't have to be sitting at the remote computer to remote control, that is a limitation of windows remote desktop connection ( remote assitance) on windows xp

Ok and I can see that you want to only get on the site to log on to the database, but I think your going to have to do it through a computer at your work, because if your network is any thing like the network at our school you'll have something called mac address filtering which only allows certain mac addresses to connect to the network or database.

Each computer has it's own mac address and almost all devices that connect to the internet, like cell phones do, gaming systems ect.

There's teamviewer

available at www.teamviewer.com

but Teamview must be kept on till your session is over

And you can also use Connection to Remote desktop available on Windows.

To Set it: There's a tutorial I found on Youtube.

*IF* they allow remote connections (and they likely don't), yes you can.

You'd need to know which database they are using. If its MySQL you can use MySQL Workbench, or command line clients that you can download from MySQL's website. If its another database, you'd need their client.

Only your office administrator can make this happen, no one else.
