I changed my old router to a new wireless one, but in order to connect to internet I need PPPoE password. Is there any way I can recover it from my router configuration page? I tried several programs and neither one works.
I don't want to reset My Password form my internet provider as they charge bug sums for a new password :/
My System Is Windows 7, The old router is D-Link Dl-604 and the new router is Dl-524

All right am telling you the method about determining PPPoE password but its through command line tool [cmd] try it and let me know if this works out.

1. Click on Start>Run type cmd and hit 'enter' OR open MS DOS prompt

2. telnet 192.168.1.1 [Your modem IP , generally it is 192.168.1.1]

3. Enter the following command

pppoe show transport 1

4. Look for the field Dialout Password.

You can view your password there.

Sounds like you need a new internet provider. I think you might be out of luck, the user name and password is typical created during the install process with the setup CD that was sent by your provider. If you didn't write it down, you are going to need to contact the ISP to reset it.

On a side note Cable doesn't use PPPoE, so you don't need a user name and password.
