utorrent help???????????

Question

Its So Slow Please Help. I looked at many guides but they dont help. I have 7.1 kb/sec, that is horribal. i do have a little yellow triangle that was green yesterday but now it is yellow. How can i fix this?? i tried to access my router and dont know the username and password.

Look for your router and look for your modem. If they're both on the list, go to http://www.webdingers.com/router.html



If only your router is on the list (or you're not using a router, and your modem is on the list) select it and follow the instructions. All of them, including the part about a static IP.



Your download speed depends on the upload speed of the seeders and the number of leechers downloading from them, so 7kbps isn't abnormal. (0kbps, meaning you can't download at all, isn't abnormal either. I have one file stuck there for almost a year - no one is seeding it, so I can't download it.)



If you want fast, buy the program or file. If you want free accept what you get - slow and, possibly, viruses. That's how torrents work.

for utorrent to function correctly it needs to have a port open in your router. The port number is given in the utorrent settings (make sure it isn't set to randomise). accessing your router may be a problem, try combinations of admin/administrator/password/pass. you'd need your manual. port forwarding requires you to forward a port in your PC through the router and naked to the world. if you can't access your own router I'd think twice before risking possible viruses and other nasties you will download or the fact you have just opened a direct line for people to hack your pc.

get the program for your router and reinstall the thing and change the password and username or get some one to come and fix it
