Wireless Routers are inexpensive these days, and are some times packaged with Wireless cards to install in your PCs. I bought mine at Staples.

I'm not familiar with the xbox, so I don't know how you network that.

Wireless networking introduces new security issues, but the router should come with instructions for enabling security.

I have shared a dial-up connection between PCs in the past, but most people become impatient with the download speeds, and wondering whether or not the Internet is connected. Broadband service would be much better.

Buy a router. It will take in the internet connected from the dsl or cable modem or whatever your isp gives you and lets you connect your xbox, computer and whatever else devices you want into it and youre good to go. if you dont want too many wires make sure the computers have wireless cards installed and get a wireless adapter for the xbox though for the xbox its better to leave that wired cause it tends to lag more online when its wireless.

Get Internet service from whichever ISP you'd like. They will give you a modem.

Then setup a wireless network (you'll need a wireless router for this), and probably a wireless adapter for each computer you don't want to run wires to (most new laptops have wireless adapters built in, but almost all desktops do not).

I'm not sure if xbox (original or 360?) has wireless, you may need a cable for that.

I suggest telling your new ISP that you plan on connecting only one computer, because some ISP's will try to sell you one modem/router per computer, or sell you a wireless router, and charge you a monthly fee for it, or a high one time fee. It might be convenient to buy these devices and let them set up your network, but it'd be cheaper to do it yourself.

Get a wireless broadband router and some wireless network adapters for your PCs, plus a wireless adapter for your xbox.

What type of router you get will depend on the ISP you go with though, so do that bit first.

in case you have a computing device confirm to share your cyber web connection while once you leech off of the loose wireless the DSL field emits. Laptops have been continuously extra handy for me to share an cyber web connection. you elect a prompt community adapter with the right drivers put in so your computing device can p.c.. up interior reach wireless. the only element i will think of of is getting long telephone twine and use the DSL/telephone Splitter and connect the telephone twine to the extra suitable computers so which you would be able to atleast get dial up. real hackers can mess with dial up and strengthen the relationship yet thats previous my know-how. you ought to use those AOL Cds and use the trials merely confirm to Cancel them one week in the past the month ends otherwise youll get alot of undesirable debts charged.

Yes, very possible.

First pick your broadband ISP, usually through your cable company or your phone company.

Next get a wireless router and hook that up.

For your xbox, get a wireless adapter for it.

If you want to connect your computers wirelessly, as long as they have wifi, you are good, if not, you'll need to add wireless cards to all the computers you want to connect wirelessly.
