Which of theese routers is a better one?
TP-Link TL-WR740N or Wireless G broadband router wrt54g

If you are not using wireless N then as suggested keep with the wrt54g. If you are using wireless N then if you know someone that is familiar with one of the other two options, then I would suggest going with that router. I find that each router has people who love then and some that hate them. The problem is that the building infrastructure, the proximity of other routers, the proximity of sources of interference can make any router perform poorly. As well the performance can vary from day to day as the issues that I have mentioned change over time.

These can not be compared as they are from very different generations. The WRT54G us MUCH older.
Wireless G technology has been out longer and has proven to still be much more stable, however the TP-Link allows for half-wireless N technology (the later one).
If you restrict both to wireless G I would stick with the Linksys as it has a proven track record.
