Go to godaddy and look at their help pages, find the ftp address format that you need to use to upload data. it will include your domain name, but will have a special ftp format that you have to type into Dreamweaver to access the site via FTP.

I don't use godaddy, but I looked on the site, are you using

ftp://coolexample.com

where coolexample.com is your domain name?

i'm utilizing CS4 and attempting to upload alterations that I make to my internet website. i'm getting an blunders message: ftp blunders, login or password incorrect. when I spoke to my host (Yahoo) they advised me that my version of Dreamweaver does no longer help sftp and to unravel the challenge i wanted to improve Dreamweaver. Is there yet another answer or do I even ought to make this funding? i'm engaged on a Mac utilizing OS X Yosemite V. 10.10.3
