Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. $700 if you can get buy with the standard version, $4,000 if you need the enterprise version.
**EDIT**
Sorry - didnt see the it "had" to be Linux. Try researching Scalix & Mail Master. You can google both for more information.

microsoft exchange can do for you but its damn much costly and it will work only with windows 2003 server. so better option for you is to install linux Server edition and establish a mail server there.

you are able to generate mail id in Linux. For producing id, Server could be linux, internet hosting a internet site and then setting up SMTP, POP3, IMAP and Webmail provider. some considerable factors: * incorporates area and account administration, internet-customer, bills administration, LDAP help and an invaluable & versatile regulations equipment. *want unsolicited mail clear out- It perceive unsolicited mail and reject/settle for mail on foundation of as much as date unsolicited mail regulations to their corresponding rankings.

I've always liked Courier. Not too hard to setup if you already have experience running a linux server.
