Hi

I have a DELL laptop, & I just installed a new wifi device @ home. the password contains both letters & numbers; however, whenever i try to write the device ownership password so that I can access the wifi it won't accept letters for the new acount, although it would accept it for other wifi accounts and on defferent laptops.

does anyone know how to resolve this?

There has to be some explanation, but I do not have any ideas. All I can offer, and I hate to do this, is provide you with a link to a site where you can post your question and probably an answer.

It's strictly a computer site. The form has some pretty hardcore people that would probably be able to answer your question. I hate to suggest you go elsewhere to get an answer, but I think this might be your best shot.

Go to the forums section....you have to join the site, but it's free and make sure you choose where to ask your question wisely so you get the best shot at an answer.

wifi PASSkey values can either be entered as Hexadecimal numbers or as

fixed length strings.

make sure you understand the difference and that you are not trying to break

the rules. if 13 characters are needed 13 characters must be given,
