Yes. I have a wireless network. I have a wireless printer in the other room and this desktop I am on here now does not have wireless capability and it prints from the printer and so do 3 more computers that are wifi. I hope I answered your question.
Was just a little confused with your question.

Media (wired, wireless) is irrelevant. What you should be asking is that "are they on same network?"
And yes, both your desktop and wireless printer are connected to same router, therefore there are on the same network.

My HP Wi-Fi printer is setup like this, and I have no problems accessing it and the memory card reader in the printer from my hardwired PC. However, I always use belkin Wi-FI routers with the option to use as an Access point. Since I don't use the Wi-Fi device as a router, the wireless network and the wired network are the same network (and same subnet). I then have a router (wired only) at the modem. If your modem/router treats the internet as the WAN side, and the wired and wireless as the same network on the LAN side, then it sounds like you should be fine.
If it doesn't work and you are ok with spending $35, you can get a belkin Wi-Fi box and set it to use as Access Point mode. I don't think the other brands include this feature (Linksys, Netgear, etc).

Yes, it will work.
I will say that while wireless printers can be convenient at times, they can be flaky too. If the printer has an Ethernet port and you experience any communications issues between the printer and computers, then connect the printer to your modem/router with an Ethernet cable and it should be rock solid. Also, if the modem/router has DHCP reservation capability, setup the printer with a static/permanent LAN IP. This can help avoid other computers to lose connectivity to it, etc.
