I dont want a program like hotshop sheild that gives me a diffrent IP everytime i want something that will give me a new ip that i keep. I use WI-Fi from my router. My router is connected to my modem in the living room. I have tried to unplug both over night and i did not get a new ip address.

All you have to do is change the MAC address on your router, and then power cycle both the modem and the router. The modem will see a new MAC address and think a new device has connected (because no two devices have the same mac address), and will issue a new ip address (because no two devices are suppose to have the same ip address either). This is the basics of DHCP.

You receive the IP address that your service provider assigns you. Even if you reset your reset or release your IP address 9 times out of 10 your ISP will return you the same IP address. Now I have tried to do this before with an ISP by calling them and asking them to change it for me because I was receiving DOS attacks at a business. The ISP basically told me no. Some may be more lenient if you have a good reason. BASICALLY, UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES THE ONLY WAY TO RECEIVE A NEW IP ADDRESS IS TO CHANGE YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER.

Also, your IP address that you want to change is not related to your modem or router. You modem has its own IP that goes to your ISP server and from there to the interent. So your real IP in the internet world is at your ISP's server not your house.

To start with don't get banned. Second go to school and learn networking. Third your ISP gives you an IP address through DHCP and you probably still retain the lease.

As far as getting on to a website you've been banned from I'm not about to help you there. Maybe you shouldn't have done anything to get banned in the first place.

You need a proxy server: it enables you to browse websites you've been banned from, but in most cases if you use an online utility and you don't wanna mess around with your network configuration you're not gonna be able to use flash (for example you couldn't watch streaming videos).

Anyway a very famous proxy is http://hidemyass.com/

Alternatively you can choose amongst a huge list of free proxy servers you can find here http://www.proxy4free.com/

Have a good one.

You could change your MAC address, which would automatically assign you a new ip. But the simplest way would be to:

Open CMD

type ipconfig /release

unplug your modem and router

wait 60 seconds

plug modem and router back in

in CMD type ipconfig /renew

should be good to go.

Agree with Talven you cannot change your ip its through your isp, and the mac adress is assigned per the card that is in your pc which wouldnt change your ip anyhow its assigned by again the isp.

I think you are looking for a proxy. Just Google "proxy servers" and you should be fine. I hope this helps.

You could start a new service with a different ISP.
