So, I've been watching a video on how to make a server, but... I can't access the settings page to forward the port, or whatever I was supposed to do. Everytime I try to access any settings page, it says the page can't be displayed. I use AT&T... help?

open your cmd and type: ipconfig /all

Look for this "default gateway ...... ###" which is your IP address

Open up any browser (IE or firefox), type this IP address on there. You will be prompt for a username and password. This information can be found on the router device where they print it (or if you set it up before, then log in). Then you can access the firewall section to view all the port settings.

If you still don't know your username and password, then try this link:

You did not say what modem/router or gateway brand/model you have. If you have an old bridge modem and are doing PPPoE on your computer, then there is no router. But more commonly for many years DSL modems are either a modem/router that handles the PPPoE login and acts as router, or a gateway that also includes wireless.

Another reply explained how to find your gateway IP. However, some web browsers try to be too smart and (sometimes erroneously) try to do a web search for anything they do not recognize as a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) in a URL. Because I am running Linux, I forget how to fix that in Internet Explorer. But in Firefox you can type about:config in the location bar and set "browser.fixup.alternate.enabled" to "false" to avoid having it append a www. prefix or .com suffix.

Or depending upon DNS setup it is possible that a domain name is being appended to the IP. In the location bar of your browser, is the IP address of your router being altered to something else by your browser?

Because your not using your correct gateway of your router/modem. cmd and do an ipconfig. look for default gateway. Thats the IP you should be using noob
