http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/2wire/2701HG-B/World_of_Warcraft_Downloader.htm

I need to configure my 2-Wire 2701HG-B router to forward those ports provided in that link but my router does not appear to be using the default address of 172.16.0.1 mentioned in step 1 and I do not have the original packaging or any cds that might have come with the router to help out.

How do I find my router's IP address so I can access the control menu and the firewall options?

I'm assuming you use windows, and the router is up and running and in use. If these are both true, type "ipconfig" from the command prompt. This will show up:

Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :

IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.100

Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0

Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

"default gateway" is probably your router's address.

Okay if the router doesn't have it's appropriate default address, you may need to set it manually. You will need to do the following:

- Look under the router. It may have a MAC address sticker. This is a series of 12 hexidecial digits (0 through to F), something like this 01-23-45-67-89-AB or 0123456789AB

- Make a note of that number.

- Ensure the computer and router are connected by a network cable. It may need to be a crossover cable unless the router has a crossover port, automatic crossover detection or a crossover toggle button.

- Now on your PC, click Start, Run, and type CMD [Enter]

- Type IPCONFIG /ALL

- It should show you what your IP address of your PC's LAN card is. Write this down. (Let's imagine it's 1.2.3.4)

- Type the following command:

ARP -s 1.2.3.5 01-23-45-67-89-AB [Enter]

IE: Using ARP, assign the ip address of your computer +1 to the MAC address of the Router.

Once you've done that, try PINGing that IP Address to verify whether your computer can connect to it. If you can, you should be able to browse to it and configure it.

Alternatively if you don't want to change it's IP Address you could always do a broadcast PING (PING 255.255.255.255) and then do an arp -a to display your ARP routing table to see whether it's responded (ie: You'll need to look for it's MAC address).

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://tinyurl.im/aH3Sl

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

From your Windows desktop, click Start, then Run. You should now see a small dialog window with a "Open:" box

In the Open: box, type cmd and click OK. This will bring up a black command prompt window

At the command prompt, type ipconfig /all, and then press Enter.

Write down the following information which you will need in Step 2 below:

a. IP Address - (something like 192.168.0.2)

b. Subnet Mask - (something like 255.255.255.0)

c. Default Gateway - this is your router's IP address: (something like 192.168.0.1)

d. DNS Servers - also, your router's IP address: (usually same as in c. above, i.e., 192.168.0.1)

Close the command prompt window

I just tried https://webmd.im/verispy last year to see if I could Locate my birth-father. My bio father left me when I was 7, and has refused to be a part of my life since. I grew up with my bio Mother and Step-father. I have only ever talked to my biological father a couple times until now. All I knew of him personally when I conducted the search was his first name, last name, and the street address of a previous address he used to have.

When the search results came back based on the minimal info I had, It pulled up a recent address along with even a phone number. When I called the phone no., I heard the voice of what sounded like it may be my step-brother. I asked if Joseph(my biological dad) was there, and he said no but to try back after 5.

I haven't done anything with the info, But I found what I was wanting to have.

You Want Know:

• Want to know who is Calling?

• Need to find someone based on their Address?

• Find anyone by their Email address?

• Find by Name?

• Considering a Criminal Background check online?

eVerify is exactly what you need! - http://unlimitedchecks.net/quickly-27.html

With eVerify, you can search for 1 in 4 informative search options: People, Background, Criminal Records, and Social Media.

You are only a few easy steps away from uncovering the truth about someone’s background!

Access one of the largest email databases on the internet and uncover someone’s name and address based only on their email address!

eVerify can help you uncover the identity of the person behind the phone number.

Use Criminal Records Search to uncover all that you can about someone's past. Learn about an individual’s criminal history and find out the details about their prior offenses. Find out if someone close to you has been convicted of a serious offense such as sex crime and more.

Get ALL the ANYONE information You need Now! - http://unlimitedchecks.net/quickly-27.html

The absolutely free reverse phone lookup sites generally provide the most basic of information such as name and it works only for landlines. To get further information, money will have to be paid. The free searches do not provide much more than what can be found through the phone book or personal knowledge and they only want your email to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse phone lookup sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse phone lookup site like http://unlimitedchecks.net/quickly-27.html that has been around since 1999.

If I recall correctly they have two options:

1. Get only one report.

2. Get unlimited reports. I went with this option because I wanted to verify more numbers. This is how I caught my girlfriend cheating, I got the name, other phone number, address history, relatives, and criminal-court records.

Open a command window (start >run type CMD in the box)

A black screen opens.

Type tracert yahoo.com and press enter.

This is what you will see (cut short to save room)

C:\Documents and Settings\yodatech>tracert yahoo.com

Tracing route to yahoo.com [216.109.112.135]

over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 1 ms 1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.254

2 13 ms 12 ms 12 ms adsl-75-58-47-54.dsl.emh...

Hop # 1 is in almost always your router.

the easiest way to get your router's ip is by doing the following steps:

*** if your pc is running windows 2000, winxp or vista

go to start>click on run>type cmd on the run field, click ok

you will a black window (the DOS or command prompt), type ipconfig, press enter

you should see the windows ip configuration, look for the value on the default gateway - this is the address you need to type on your browser (internet explorer) to access your 2wire software

*** if your pc is running on win98, winME, do this:

click on start>run>type winipcfg

it will show a window where you can see the list of adapter on your pc, select the adapter with a brand like realtek, intel, etc.. or those with words like ethernet, network, etc..., then after selecting the adapter, look for the value on the default gateway... use/type this on the address bar of your browser to access your router's software

another shortcut is the fastest way to get the address that you need but this assumes that you are seeing the local area network connection icon on your system tray (usually the lower right corner of your desktop where you have the time and the little icons), right click on the icon that looks like 2 computers that are connected together and select status... on the status window, click on the support tab and look for the default gateway...

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:

Get the identity of an unknown caller.

Identify an area code.

Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.

Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

start>run>cmd

type ipconfig

You will see your ip address, subnet mask, and gateway. The gateway is your router's ip. Just type that ip into your browser and login to the router.

try either

192.168.1.1

or

192.168.1.0

both are pretty standard for router interfaces..
