Hey Bite, are you an admin of some sort? See you sound like you think you are one when you say we. Pen testing, rather than a viable source of your righteous rage and indignation, has become a legitimate career field. Alex, I'd suggest you try the Backtrack forum and Wiki, they're pretty helpful though a little smug sometimes. I were you I'd first check the network card settings on your vmware machine. For direct access it should be set to bridged. Backtrack doesn't necessarily have problems with wifi, it is just designed with a lot of extra steps to be able to connect to wifi. Goes with their motto of being quiet. Unless version 5 does have problems, haven't looked at that yet. For the rest try the resources at the Backtrack website. And Alex, I hope you don't make me look like a schmuck and use this for the sake of evil. Be good.

Their networks are locked for a reason. There are utilities which could crack some forms of instantaneous networks, yet you will no longer locate any for domicile windows. no longer do exactly you want linux, you want particular hardware/application and you ought to have the flexibility to generate plenty and numerous community site visitors to seize packets. So 2 or greater laptops with instantaneous adapters that help promisc mode. you ought to apply one laptop, besides the shown fact that it is going to take a little time. Did I point out, you ought to be taught Linux shell scripting? that should help somewhat. So, yeah go forward and leap real into backpedal. good success.
