You should be able to, it's just a matter of which options need to be modified.
The modem should be hooked up to one router, and on the other you could share the internet connection of one of the computers on that router. I'm sure it's possible though.

Two routers will not work. If you want to use a wired connection to share the DSL, you will need a router and a hub or switch. Connect the modem to the Router and connect the hub or switch to the router and the other computer. The only way you can use two routers is to get two DSL lines, two DSL modems and then you can connect a router to each DSL line.

Sure you can
Just name them different ip's on the network
The two routers will have to be wired together using an ethernet cable though....the 2nd router needs to be set as access point and not gateway.
And on the 2nd router, you'll need the ethernet cable plugged into one of the computer slots, not the internet slot.

Neither, and the two... you connect the router on your broadband connection... the modem which you acquire out of your provider provider. then you certainly fairly connect the two computers to the router, now no longer the modem. Assuming the default settings paintings on your setup, fairly turn each and each element off then restart, contained interior the order: *Cable agency container/modem *Router *computers enable approximately 2 minutes for each unit to "quiet down" till now you progression directly to the subsequent. ..and you're sturdy to pass.

Do you have 2 different DSL accounts? If not, then what you are trying to do will shut down both systems

If you only have one on at a time it will work!
