Can I install a wireless card to an old IBM Thinkpad 380ED Laptop running Windows 95?

I would also like to know how to clean it's hard drive since it has a lot of software and documents that I don't need. In fact, I don't need any of them, so I would like to wipe it clean and start from cero data if possible. Also, I would like to know if this computer would support an upgrade to Windows 98, considering the fact that I have another laptop that broke, and I want to use the Windows 98 disk from that broken computer to install it on the Thinkpad. Can that be done even if the computers are of different brand? (Non of them is Mac, both are PCs) I also figure that it's legal since the Windows 98 disk is mine, original, was legally purchased, and will not be used on two computers simultaneously since one is now broken and will never be used again.

good luck in trying to get anything to work with windows 95.

upgrade to 98 first and then try it. most manaufacturers don't even release drivers for 95 anymore.

yes the disk will work. just pop it in the cd-rom and you can upgrade the 95 to 98 without too much hassle of trying to find device drivers etc.

i wouldn't recommend a format of a hard disk it is too much hassle building laptops from scratch unless you are realy bored.

if you are that bored try the site listed below. download the windows 98 boot disk and from the command prompt you can do a format of your c: drive. good luck

so a techniques, we've positioned XP on each and every of the ibm's we've had here. My better half Pam became tech help for Intel on the spot, and that all of them had ibm's. examine around and notice if there's a license available to apply. Vista does not artwork properly on many of the older ibm's because of the video card.
