When you go to a frnd, and eat at his house...and do everything on his house, then you are surfing...

If u make your own food and do your own thngs, then you are downloading...

Most companies set the downloading limit for a month. In surfing negligible amount of data is downloaded as it requires some kb to open that page. It depends on the size of the document. And in downloading you are saving that document directly into your computer. In my opinion if you will watch any video on video tube it may be called surfing but it will require for the data to be continuously downloaded on your web browser.

Hey,

First off, its important to understand that BOTH surfing and downloading will consume bandwidth.

Bandwidth is the rate at which data is transferred through the internet connection. (e.g 4 Mbits/sec is the bandwidth of a typical comcast low end connection)

So, surfing and downloading BOTH imply that data is been downloaded to your computer. Watching videos consumes MORE bandwidth as compared to reading emails or chatting.

You download a thing when you take an application or a document in to your Pc.

You Surf when you search for an information, get it on the internet , read it and donot take it to the computer.

Thus, while watching youtube you are surfing and while catching videos from youtube to computer you are downloading.

Clear hai.....

Your surfing when your watching videos on youtube because you are not actually downloading the video. Surfing is like browsing the web.

The downloading limits refer to how much you can save in a given period of time (files)

When you save something that's downloading

But technically speaking every thing you access on the net The content is downloaded...otherwise you wouldn't be seeing it --This is what's known as bandwidth

When your using your internet connection your downloading no matter what the site says. Every single image, video, letter, etc. downloads through your internet connection.

surfing is just reading the info in the net itself & downloading is saving that info into your PC that's it.
