I own an iMac, and along with it a D-Link DIR 615 router. Everything normally works fine with it, nothing happens and internet is never a problem...but recently, for some reason the WiFi connection between my computer and the router dies. When I try to re-connect via WEP password, is says "connection Timeout". Very inconvenient. The connection pops back in and out for periods of up to and hour or two.
I am sure that this has something to do with my router, because all WiFi based connections are up and down (Xbox, laptop, etc.) which means that the Mac can't be the sole reason for this.

I really don't know what to do and it is not good when I can't read email from work and such. Would this be a problem with my Internet Service provider? My router? My computer? Better question, does anyone know what is wrong with my connection?

It sounds like you are having a issue with your router its self. If the local area network (wifi) is not connecting then the issue is not with the ISP. Also is the microwave or the cordless phone on when your wireless dies? If so more then likely your microwave is scattering the 2.4ghz band and is causing interference with the wireless network. Microwaves and most cordless phone work off of 2.4ghz frequency which is the same frequency that your wireless networks on. If you notice that the microwave is on and your wireless is dieing it maybe time to buy a new microwave.

the owner of that instant router could have grew to become it off, or you are going to be experiencing interference from yet another instant router interior the development using the same channel. this could ward off you from connecting, and many times leads to a "timeout" mutually as attempting to connect. -MikeD qualified community engineer w/sixteen years adventure
