So you've got a wireless router in your house and an internet connection, and would like to turn it on. I think I could google that. Hint, if you have a wireless router, you need a wireless usb card or PCI card to "hook-up" the computer to the router. Both need wireless capability. Both ends (wireless).

Good luck with that.

(Edit: There are people pointing out that you need an ISP even with a wireless router on hand. Only if this is your case:

Wifi = wireless internet. If you have a wireless router, and it's connected to the internet, you have wifi. If you don't have an internet connection, call your phone company and your cable TV company and ask what they charge - the price depends on where you live. (How much is a gallon of gas? Same thing.)

First, you need Internet service, preferably broadband. Then you need a wireless router; just abouit any of them will do, unless you have special conditions, such as a lot of interference or long distances.

You may be able to rent a wireless router from you Internet Service, but you'll wind up paying for it over and over in the rental fees. The upside of this option is having a professional set it up for you correctly.

Contact your ISP for prices.
