Every time when i start up my computer, i got only local connectivity. i then have to go into my router menu and reset my router a few times before it finally gives me internet access. this is very annoying, isnt there anything that might be able to change it so i don't have to do this every time? thanks.

Get into your router settings and reset the Client Lease Time setting to something like 10000.

Also make sure your modem is not on an outlet boosted by a cable booster.

Have you reset the modem recently? Local connectivity means access to the router but not to the modem. Check also to see if the firmware on the router is the most current.

update your firmware on your router, make sure your DHCP setting is enabled and everything is set to find IP automatically on your computer. Then if you still are getting limited or local, open up the command terminal and type in ipconfig /renew

you just have to reconfigure your router setting.
