2014-03-11 00:02:49 UTC
So I Have an iMac at work, and i have a certain site i need to download product images from.
was working fine for days, downloaded a few hundred images.
then today when searching a product code, it gave me this error:

(i'm using Chrome btw)

SSL connection error

Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
Error code: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.

I'm a windows guy, not really used to mac yet, i tried accessing the network settings in chrome, but under proxy
i don't have any SSL settings, or and TLS.

Tried playing around with the proxies but nothing worked.

BASIC RULE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING ANYTHING....

When A fails to work with B, try A with C or B with C.

Try Safari to see if it is with Chrome. If so, trash Chrome and use a good browser. Mac Chrome is nothing over Safari, so just say no to it.

If Safari gives the same error, talk to the office network admin. EVERY OFFICE NETWORK HAS AN ADMIN.

I recommend making use of VPNPower in order to unblock websites. I've been using them since 4 years. http://www.vpnpower.net
