How to get a Better Wi-Fi signal in this Situation ?

I live in a Dormitory in Germany. We had LAN connection last December but suddenly the idiots decided to change or connection to Wi-Fi. The thing is our Router is somewhere in the middle of the building and i have weak signal from my desk and powerfull signal near my Door (which i use to enter my room) i wanted to use a Repeater but the Guy who is responsible about this stuff said it is not possible to use it ( We gave our Computers Mac Number so they make sure we can only connect with that device, funny enough i dont even now my user Id and password to connect the network , that guy came to my room setup my internet and left, if i give my Repeaters MAC number i can use it to connect with everything even though i can do it with Connectify too, dough) so what can i do to get a powerfull signal, carrying my desk near my door is not an option and it makes a huge difference btw if i move like 10 feet it is 10 times faster ,

I would ask them to give you your ethernet cable back or provide a powerline extension with Wifi signal so that you can use the signal. They have changed the situation and they are responsible for you still getting an internet signal if it's in your contract that internet is provided.

If they give you the internet cable, you'll have to give them a MAC address... you can give the one from your computer, but I'd get a $50 Wifi router myself and hook it up. Be very careful in how you set it up AND secure it with a name that doesn't tie it to you or your apartment and a secure password.

Also make sure that the DHCP range of your wifi router is different from the one used in the building so that you don't get any routing issues AND make sure that the cable they provide is actually plugged into the WAN port.

This way you're not restricted to a single device on the internet and you can also allow your mobiles and visitors to get online without always having to pass your admins a new MAC address.

Yep they removed the cables ( dont ask me why i have no idea )

@Haitham : if i buy a Wireless extender do they just make the signal stronger or do i have to connect to Wi.Fi network with Extender First then connect to extender with my computer ? if thats the case i cannot do that because of Mac Number thing , i can only connect to Router with my computer

You should use a wireless extender or wifi extender(same thing but different name). I have a similar situation in my house where the router is far away from me. A wifi extender solved the problem.

Did they physically remove the LAN cables...? If not, try asking them nicely if you can go back to LAN.
