What server does SKY Broadband use? I found out how to work out my username and password not the SKY and ADMIN but the one built in to the router but i need to select what server the sky broadband service on my own router instead it doesnt work, i think i selected PPOE or something like that but when i put the username and password in it doesnt connect to the internet.
The other thing that it might be is that ive use the generator for the username and password wrong and if this is the case i need to know how to work out the right MAC address as ive used the one off the side of the sky router? ANY IDEAS would be much appretiated! thanks

sky broadband uses PPPOA authentication

Your username and password for your router will be the mac address @skydsl.com e.g. 00:00:00:00:00:00@skydsl.com

and the password is what is under 'S/N' on the bottom of the router.

Make sure if you are going to ring sky tech support you take out your own router and put their one in, as using your own router violates their terms and conditions, which makes your connection liable to be disconnected, i know its crap.

I have no idea what your are trying to do == PPOE relates to the phone line connection for an ADSL line, MAC address restrictions relate to Firewall settings and User names & Passwords relate to Accounts (no account ? no access) ... password 'generators' are used by script kiddies (wannabe hackers).

If you are a legitimate customer of Sky Broadband, either RTFM or ring the f*chling Help Line ..

most servers are windows 2003/8 servers, with a massive active directory system, they will also possible have linux servers.
