Hi Hamzah,

I think you should get one additional machine, and turn that machine into a proxy server. When you have a proxy server, all of the 45 computers will connect to the proxy server, and then the proxy server will go out onto the internet and grab the web pages. But... the proxy server can cache pages and use those cached versions instead of going out onto the internet for them again.

I think that will speed up the internet for people, and save you a lot of money on bandwidth.

One proxy server software that I use is called "Squid", it's for Linux.

I think you need to update this joke, which originally has to do with a blonde looking for a phone. What color is your hair? Be ye male OR female.

Squid is the best cache server you will get.

It was sorely made for Linux but now available for Windows.

If you are running Windows just Google "download squid nt"

It has a lot of features like limiting access, bandwidth, blocking websites etc

Set up a Linux firewall with a caching web proxy. A transparent proxy is the best, as there would be no desktop settings to change. As well, a proper firewall will protect you by providing proper filtering and other forms of protection, not to mention proper logs of user activity.

This link shows many free Firewall packages. Always look for the "community" version, those are the free versions. Most of the higher end ones have built in web proxies. Search them, and see which fits your requirements:

Some of the higher end Firewalls are Astaro, Endian, ClearOS, Vyatta and maybe Untangle. Good luck.
