Remote Desktop Connection Errors?

When my friend tries to connect to my computer using Remote Desktop running Windows XP Pro he recieves the error message

"Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your connection. Please try your connection again later. If the problem continues to occur, contact your administrator"

On the server I have:
enabled Remote Desktop Connection in windows firewall

check the allow user to access thru remote desktop in the my computer / remote tab

I have also port forwarded the port 3389

anyone know what im missing or what i need to do??

I had the same problem. You might want to check the router and see if NAT is being filtered. If it is, try temporarily turning it off and see if you can connect.



Network Address Translation allows a single device, such as a router, to act as an agent between the Internet (or "public network") and a local (or "private") network. This means that only a single, unique IP address is required to represent an entire group of computers.



To check if NAT is enabled you need to log into you router. For a Linksys router type 192.168.1.1. After you login you will see security. When you click on that you will see some check boxes one of which will be filter internet NAT redirection. Uncheck it and try using remote desktop.



I can't say how to check it on any other routers but it should be similar.

your router is not set to port forward too the ip of the computer , or you did not crate a static IP in the network card and point the forward to in the NAT , anyways there is a much easier and safer way

What software you use? There could be changes in the "key" or duplication. Maybe you can change the software laian or enter a new license. Or if you purchase your software, can be asked whether the warranty? Hopefully can help
