What type of remote desktop application/service would you recommend for accessing small business (convenience store) data from home? I'm looking for something quick and easy to view sales and data files from operating stores while at home.

Logmein free is a very good option - you don't have to use the pro versions. Microsoft Terminal Services Connection (MSTSC) requires a static IP address on the router at the site where the computer you wish to access is.

many times this technique will question the working ecosystem. I forget approximately what the top environmental variable is checked, yet that's what i might do it I have been writing this technique. BTW, courses that enable themselves to be lauched remotely are very severe protection adverse aspects. in case you're programming and assume distant clientele on a similar device i might very intently evaluate how your application this. If the script or application calls a command shell or exterior application, heavily evaluate no longer enable launch in a distant consultation or shell. extensive protection adverse aspects there until you rather understand what you're doing.

I would suggest you to check Banckle Remote Access Application which is a web based application and does not require any installation on your system. Plus it is Free for one year.

You can use QuickBooks and Fishbowl Inventory for this purpose. Both are available together as an integrated hosting solution. Both hosted products are fully compatible with each other, and enhance each other’s functions significantly.

QuickBooks is a line of business accounting software which provides instant reports on sales, expenses, and profits. With QuickBooks, you can view customized sales and profitability reports, keep track of your biggest moneymakers so you'll know which products to promote and keep in stock, and which to drop from your line.

Fishbowl Inventory is an add-on program for QuickBooks. It is the best inventory control program available for QuickBooks. Its Sales Order Module allows you to enter customers, products, and Quick Lists all from drop-down lists. Double click on any line item and to see what's in stock and what's back-ordered. Many organizations looking to track their assets also use Fishbowl as a powerful asset tracking solution. Fishbowl Inventory tracks the location and status of every item you have in stock, whether it’s in a single location or in multiple locations.
