picking between Ubuntu or Centos for my web server?

I am getting ready to start setting up my web hosting business. I will be using Linux servers only. This will be for my web design business as well. I am stuck right now between Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS and Centos. I have a lot more experience with Ubuntu Desktop and server as well. I am currently wondering between those 2 would be the best for hosting websites. I have a feeling that most will say Centos but I would like a reason to why Centos is the best even tho Centos is a RedHat product. But other then that, why would it be the best.

Frankly, in a time is money situation, go with whatever LTS solution you find easiest to manage.



Me, I'd go with Debian or CentOS. Debian because it upgrades easily and I've been using it for a long time. CentOS because it's based on RH. Of the two, I'd prefer Debian because I know it better.



In your case, s/Debian/Ubuntu/ but remember that the desktop side of Ubuntu is pretty much irrelevant for servers.

because it is stable

but my modem not worked with it (which worked in ubuntu very well)



i uninstalled the ubuntu because it is spyware



so i will be use the LINUX MINT as a server (with open box WM)
