Hi. I want to setup DHCP server in my Centos 5.5. I tried "yum install dhcp" but could not find any packages. I am using centos using VMware workstation on WIndows 7 on my laptop. Please help me!!!! :(

you should be able to install dhcp with the command "yum install dhcp"



You should check the network settings on your VM. make sure that you have NAT enabled. Also check the firewall settings. I just ran the command on my system and it worked fine.

Are you sure you spelled it correctly? running "yum search dhcp" on my web server (CentOS 5.8) yields about 40 packages (not all are the dhcp server).



Also, make sure you're running the instal as a root user or through sudo.



What exact message are you getting?
