I have Windows Xp Home on one computer, and Windows 7 on the other. I am trying to create a remote desktop connection, however the computer won't let me because I don't have the option.

When I click on System in the >start >control panel Directory, and I click on remote, I only am given only one option; for remote assistance. In all the guides I found, there was also a remote desktop option.

What gives?

You probably have a version of Windows 7 that doesn't support Remote Desktop. I know for a fact that Windows 7 Home does not support it, while Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise do.

homestead windows XP professional and media middle are the only variations of XP which you're allowed to connect into (host). With homestead windows XP homestead you're SOL. I had the comparable project so I have been given XP professional. in case you nonetheless dont see it and have professional positioned your XP disk in and hit carry out added projects > distant pc. that could desire to do the trick.
