DNS-Domain Name System
Normally websites are connected through ip addresses. But it is difficult for us to remember numerous ipaddress.
so the server use DNS to parse the domain name into ip address. for eg: you can remember google.com easily
but you cant remember 216.239.51.99 or similar addresses for other websites.
Now we ll speak on your problem
On mobile DNS problem comes if your device doesnot have proper connection to internet.
This may done by several ways.
1. Wifi
2. GPRS
Check whether your network has any of these connections enabled. if it is, check the settings. For eg: if you enable gprs, your network provider will send the settings to your mobile. (ie:connection server, username, password)
If this is done restart your mobile once.

DNS is Domain Network Service - it's what translates internet names into numbers.
Usually, when you connect a device to the network it gets setup info from a DHCP server including its address, router address, and list of DNS servers.
If it did not not a list, or it did but can't contact them, you might get that error message.
You'd have to talk to the network provider (cell or wifi) to figure out the problem. If you can connect to a numeric ip address but not resolve names, then it's a DNS problem. If you can't connect to any numeric addresses, it's a routing issue.

Dear! DNS stands for Domain Name System (or Service or Server). Basically, the DNS system is the database that makes the Internet work. So, each time you browse a Web site or you send an e-mail, you’re using a domain name. For example, when you go to our Web site, the URL http://www.worldstart.com contains the domain name worldstart.com, which is all nice and easy for us to remember, but it doesn’t help your computer out at all. Your machine is set up to use something called an IP address, which is a bunch of numbers instead of the letters we’re used to seeing. Take WorldStart’s IP address for example. It’s 64.246.98.197.
go to connectivity and than wifi, select the network which is coming in your wave and go to settings and press forget button on the left side bottom and change the dynamic ip to static ip and fill out the configuration which is there on your laptop or desktop and save it.

DNS is the domain name server. Since all clients and webservers communicate via IP address, the DNS converts the name (e.g. http://google.com) to the IP address (e.g. 79.32.23.102).
So when you go to 'google.com' , your computer sends a query to the DNS to find google's IP address and the DNS gives your computer the IP address so you can connect to google,
So your error seems to mean the DNS you are trying to contact is down or not availible

DNS = Domain Naming System other than that the two above are correct.

calling with one cell phone to another. Some cell phone companies have free mobile to mobile which means you can talk to other people who have the same cell phone company.
