I have got a windows vista and when i play a game online my ping is 300-400. Is there a way to lower my ping. I have wireless internet and i am using a laptop.

When you say wireless internet, what do you mean? Do you mean you have wifi in your house or do you mean that you have a wireless card from sprint/at&t/t-mobile/whoever? If you are wifi in your house hardwiring can help. However, if you are wireless over a cellular network, you don't have very many options. While most companies advertise their internet over cellular is "broadband", when it comes to ping time (latency) they are awful.

Use a wired connection. Especially if you are using encryption for your wireless connection. Your laptop needs to encrypt and decrypt every packet being sent and received. This slows things down a bit. Worth a test anyway.
