Have you ever used OpenBSD as a router?

I turned an old computer I had into a router using OpenBSD and 2 Ethernet NICS and was wondering if anyone else had done something similar to this? I really like it so far and am wondering if anyone else does this, if so do you like it?

There are lots pf Linux "firewalls"/routers out there, and a few may even be based on BSD (most are Linux based)

There are other commercial versions as well, like Mikrotik, and they do not cost too much either...

Not quite like that... but I've used the "Smoothwall Express" Linux-based router / firewall in an old PC for years.

More recently, I've run the "pfSense" router / firewall in a virtual machine, to isolate another virtual machine from my physical LAN. Now, _that_ was fun!

Oh, yeah!

Untangle is an excellent router/firewall/content filter based on Debian. You can get a bash shell, but you really can do a lot from the web interface.
