Do i need a mic and cam to use it? Or is there text? And secondly, how do i find out my skype so others can add me? Like what do i need to tell them?

i believe you can use text, but its much better with a cam, if u buy a cam. there usually should be a mic. on it already, and its free to skype to other people but to phone someone costs. your name should be under view profile or something like that, or at the top of the screen and just tell ur friends or who ever is skyping with you ur username

You can use text, you can even text message people on their cell phones.
