I just built my first computer and I am sooo confused right now...

AMD FX 6300 processor
RADEON HD 7870 graphics card
MSI Computer Corp Motherboard --- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0073JYZ48/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If you need any other info, just ask.

I DO NOT HAVE A CD DRIVE ON MY COMPUTER. So, I want to use a USB to get the adapters/drivers I need on my computer to get internet access. The guy at bestbuy said to google "lan drivers". I've tried installing 2 drivers now, but each time I try, I get an error at the end saying I don't have such and such adapter or something. PLEASE HELP. I decided to build this computer on a limb, and I really didn't know anything about computers until I built this one, and I don't know ANYTHING about drivers, adapters, or anything else I need on my computer to get internet access.

Hi There,

If you connect your computer to the router using an ethernet patch cable it should automatically connect to the internet. ( if your computer has an operating system installed ).

Radio Shack can provide the correct ethernet cable if you tell the tech what you need it for.

Once connected to the internet you can open up device manager and look for any problem areas and windows can find and automatically install a driver (from the internet).

You have to do this one at a time from device manager.

If you run windows update it will sometimes find and install needed drivers (maybe not all of them though).

If you want to use wifi you will need a USB wreless adapter for your computer. They cost from $10- to $40- and just follow the instructions on the box to install.

Another thing you might need is an external DVD burner so you can save data and make it easier to install some programs.

Hope this helps,

Al

If you don't have a CD drive to install the drivers that came with your motherboard, you're missing out on a lot. Either buy an internal CD drive, or go to BestBuy to buy an external USB CD drive. You could however visit the MSI website, and download all the drivers for that motherboard.

I searched for your motherboard and got to this drivers page (you'll need to select 64-bit or 32-bit Windows 7):

Were those the drivers you were trying to install?
