I've done it with another office computer. I am trying to connect to the server. I have the static IP.

If you are on the office LAN, set up home and small office networking. If you are outside, you will need to VPN in using the server's IP and the same VPN as the server. Or if you have access to the server you can use RealVNC, PC Anywhere, Go2MyPC, or Remote Desktop etc.

If you're currently outside the office, you should probably contact your network administrator. Your company might be using VPN or some other kind of secured connection for WANs. If the server is inside the company's LAN, connecting from the outside isn't just so simple as plugging in the IP of that server...

In the control panel, select network connections

Right click the wireless NIC and select properties

Select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) and click properties

You can change your address there

okay you need to go to control panel and make a home and small office wireless network (Ohh and the workgroup has to be the same in both computers)
