You can download the easy install wizard from here

http://belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D7230-4&aid=5096&scid=221

or you can follow the instructions

The instructions below assume a bog standard Belkin that has NOT been customised by your ISP . Its possible that they may have altered the login name/password. You should be connected via an ethernet cable to do all this

Otherwise here goes this is of necessity a long post, so print it off first

1) Wireless setup comes in 2 parts setting the router up and setting the laptop up. In your browser, type “192.168.2.1” (do not type in anything else such as “http://” or “www”). Then press the “Enter” key.

2)You will see the Modem Router’s home page in your browser window. The Modem Router ships with no password entered. In the login screen, leave the password blank and click the “Submit” button to log in.Enter the initial ISP settings such as user name and login details PPOE etc and any other information in the initial setup screen

3) You need to know the name of the wireless network. To identify your wireless network, a name called the SSID is used. The SSID is your network name. The default network name of the Modem Router is “Belkin N1 Wireless” followed by six digits that are unique to your Modem Router. Your network name will look something like “Belkin123456”. Click on the the “Wireless” tab in security and note down the SSID

4) You need to setup a wireless network with security. I assume your laptop has wireless and that it is switched on. By default, wireless security on the router is disabled. To enable security, you will need access the security settings, click “Security” on the “Wireless” tab

5)go to the “Security” page under “Wireless” and select “WPA/WPA2-Personal (PSK)” from the “Security Mode” drop-down menu

6)For “Authentication”, select “WPA-PSK this will need to be the same when you come to set up the laptop wireless

7)For “Encryption Technique”, select “TKIP”, “AES”, or “TKIP+AES”. This setting will have to be identical on the wireless clients that you set up.

8)Enter your pre-shared key (PSK). This can be from eight to 63 characters and can be letters, numbers, or symbols. This same key must be used on all of the wireless clients that you set up. Write the PSK down on the underneath of the router in indelible ink

9)Click “Apply Changes” to finish. You must now set all wireless clients to match these settings. You can now close the browser window

10) Go to your laptop and disconnect the ethernet cable. In the bottom Rt corner and Rt click on the network icon for Windows XP click on view available networks, for Vista connect to a network

11) Click on the network that matches the SSID you noted down and you should be asked for a passphrase/password which you wrote down underneath the router. Enter the passphrase, if all goes well you should now be able to connect. The passphrase is case sensitive and has to be entered EXACTLY as in the router

it quite is not any t mandatory in any respect. The CD in basic terms helps those with somewhat or no longer something of expierence on configuring their routers. in case you have been in a position to configure everuthing trough the internet interface, you will no longer could desire to install that. purely save the CD in someplace secure, in case it quite is fairly mandatory or you may desire to sell this. You dont need to install a separate driver for a router.

The CD performs basic setup procedures, that is all.

You will need a driver for your network card, but you should already have that.
