Question:
CAN YOU GET INTERNET VIA SERVER?

Im setting up a 10 computer network for a college project. (only 4 on pic)

I was going to have 2 servers, server 0 for a domain controller and DHCP and server 1 for VoIP and back ups.

I was going to have it like this. I really don't know if its correct (SEE PICTURE ATTACHED)

That would mean the computers would be connecting to the router only through the servers connection. I dont know if this is possible ? im pretty new-ish to networking and dont really work with wires or wireing diagrams in college.

You can do that, but your network won't work as you expect it to.

You've essentially set up a network with 3 routers. The two servers are connected as routers would be.

Instead, you want to plug the servers into your switches and your switches into the router, or one switch into the other switch and one switch into the router.

Many VoIP companies recommend putting your VoIP server outside your network, but I've long used mine inside the network and routed traffic to it from the primary router.

You do not need to use 2 switches, 1 will do all the connections. How are you gong to connect your server to the PSTN? That requires special equipment unless you install a telephone system with VOIP service built in. You can NOT just use IP phones into the Internet unless you have a system, or a multiple voice modem from the server, or a subscribed public server. in which case your VOIP serve is redundant. And why are you backing up locally? Backups should be off-site. And you should not then be using a router, as the server would need to be configured as a router to work like that. It would then need the other server to be fed from the switch to the first server, not passing traffic through it.
