Question:
Android phone cannot connect to one of my house wifi network even when password is correct and I also tried rebooting the router.?

And I clicked forget network and reconnect multiple times. Also unplugging the plug and wait for 30 mins before I plugged it is in.

However, other mobile devices/laptops are able to connect to this network, even my laptop. And there is no problem with connecting to wifi for the phone itself because it can connect to other wifi networks.

In fact, the phone just refuses to connect to this wifi network. When I click connect, it would not try to connect. And keep showing Authentication error occurred.

PLEASE HEP!!!!!!!!!!

There is a fairly common but not well publicized problem where certain wireless network adapters such as the one integrated into your phone are not compatible with certain routers.

Often a firmware upgrade of the router or a driver/firmware upgrade of your client WiFi device will fix the problem.

I guess you will not want to replace your phone, so the simplest answer might be to get a wireless access point and use that in place of your router's WiFi. You can configure the access point with the same settings as the router so that you do not have to change the settings in all your WiFi devices.

I assume that the phone will connect to other WiFi networks. If it will not, get the phone checked out.

Try to check if the phone is choosing the correct encryption method as your WIFI setting (WEP, WPA etc). If this is incorrect, then the password check will fail.

Have you also tried restarting the phone?

Rebooting the router multiple times?

Disabling and re-enabling the wifi on the phone?

Has the phone successfully connected to this wifi before?

I had a phone that would only connect to my router at random. The best solution I had was to restart the router until it does (usually 2-3 restarts). Other devices had no such problems.

Android phone couldn't connect to WEP network. So try to update your wireless network to be WPA2. If you don't know how,you can just free download My WIFI Router software and it will turn windows 7 laptop into a WPA2 hotspot for connection.

I would login to router and check if the Mac ID filtering is turned on there. Also you can try disabling the password for some time and see if the phone connects.
