what should b a good topic in NETWORK SECURITY for PAPER PRESENTATION?

Oh my wat a question.

U have a whole lot of topics to go for. But as a layman i would suggest topics like online security on community websites. Hackers and viruses. Recently there have been newspaper articles regarding security on some website called "tagged" or may be some others too.



Look by word 'presentation' it seems that u have something big in ur hand. So just select a topic that would either interest them or is known to u very nicely.

What is the intended audience? Is this for college work or real world? There are whole hosts of topics one could look at.



There are the obvious aspects of anti virus and malware type detectors, through firewalls, to VPN equipment and onto IPS/IDS type technologies from a network point of view.



You could also look at encryption type technologies, procedural issues, selection of passwords, physical security and social engineering/

Not sure what you mean here. To give a talk about network security? Then I'd talk about how to protect your home machine from hackers/viruses/malware. That is really the biggest security risk in our society right now, and it all happens over the network...
