Hello, i recently damaged the cricket modem and im replacing it. if i buy a new one and plug it in, will this change my IP address? if not, what will change my IP address? or maybe you can help me figure this out? I typically post up houses for rent on craigslist.com, and recently i was not able too post as it appeared that i was blocked? or a victim of phishing were my info was stolen and they are using it and making me appear as a spammer etc... so, even though the folks at craigslist.com are in agreement with me that a suspicious 3rd party IP address was present or used in my account etc.. and they say theyll handle it etc... but that has not happened as craigslist does not care if you can successfully post or not, they are huge and successful, and customer service is non-existant....so, my question is, since my IP address was most likely blocked or in limbo not allowing me too post, i just wanna change IP addresses too resume my posting etc.... i find it amazing how much spam appears on Clist ea day and they post just fine... anyway, thanks guys!

The best way to change your IP address is through a proxy. The website has banned your computers IP address, but if you use an IP changer, then you can continue visit the site. I've been using a product from a software called Private Proxy. The software will change your IP address every thirty minutes, so if they try to ban you again... You’ll be able to able to return 30 minutes later under a new IP. The software will provide you with up to 10 different IP's under 4 different servers for maximum security. Built to order computers Martin K here I can help you. A good wireless USB Modem that i use is Huawei E160E I will grant the fact that Huawei usually not a good brand to buy, but this little thing does perform well Now with your IP question. If you have a static IP like 10.0.0.138 or 10.1.1.1 Your outta luck, it will stay the same, hence the name static. But Fundamentally speaking. when you introduce a new network device onto a network , the IP address does, change , it's dynamically assigned to the Network and is identified and assigned an IP address based on the MAC address embedded in the firmware at the time of manufacture. so if you had issues, they may be resolved by buying a new modem. Good Luck with this.

I can't provide too much information, but yeah it sounds like someone is using you for wifi and is doing some bad stuff, but the popos can't trace them down because it only leads to you. First off, I would recommend putting a password on your IP, but I know that if you contact your ISP, then you can request an IP change . The people that you will speak to when you call know everything about IP and can help you with anything you need to know.

Good luck!
