All depends on how the folder settings are set on each machine.
Many that use MAC find a USB drive is full because the .trash folder is full! They forget to empty the trash leaving the drive full.

Even if someone has Windows, the folder would only be hidden if someone uses the default setting to hide hidden files. I always have my computers set to show hidden files and to not hide filename extensions, because that can make some things more difficult than showing all files and extensions.
Just about any OS should be able to read FAT or FAT32 because that is so commonly used for flash memory in cameras, phones, and other devices.
So simply hiding a folder would only hide it from someone totally clueless about computers (one simple step from no security at all).

no, sorry, the mac os is MUCH better than windows you'll have to encrypt the file or folder to make it unreadable as mac (and linux) ignore file attributes such as read only/ invisibility etc.

if you are using windows then ur usb flash drive will have fat32 or fat formatting ..mac doesn't support these file formats so at mac nothing will be readable ..
