Can't connect to Minecraft Server?

after the 1.0 minecraft release my friends cant connect to my server. we all have full accounts so online mode isn't the problem, i have hamachi set up so its not that either. whenever they add my server and try to connect is simply says can't reach server. we tried direct connect and that didn't work either. i can connect to my server but that is because of the local connection. and just to make sure it wasn't me, we set up the server on my friends computer and i tried to connect and it was the same problem. believe me everything is set up correctly.

It's a 1.0.0 update bug. Sometimes connecting works sometimes it doesn't. There's not really much that can be done except hope that Notch fixes it soon.

try reupdating your server. sometimes things don't update correctly
