My husband was trying to fix my friends computer today (it had a LOT of infections) and after he thought he got rid of them all, he decided to do a System Recovery (back to how it was when she first bought it) because there was so much garbage on it. During the "Partition" an error message popped up and the whole computer shut down. When we rebooted it, it couldn't locate the OS. So now we're at a stand still..

My friend still has the key for Vista (it had Xp and she upgraded) but lost the discs during her last move. Is there any place she can buy or download a replacement vista service pack for cheap or free? Does Microsoft offer any service's like that?

Thanks!

You can use SpywareNoMore.

As we all know Computer hackers seeking financial gain rather than thrills or notoriety are increasingly flooding the Internet with malicious software code (spyware, adware, key loggers, trojans). They are infecting computers with highly sophisticated programs that record surfing habits, bank passwords and other key financial data and send them to crooks over the Internet. These programs can be hard to spot, disguised in downloads such as toolbars, search engines, browser accessories, screen savers and other seemingly helpful utilities.

SpyNoMore anti-spyware safeguards your identity and restores system performance through fast, smart and powerful spyware protection.

I still believe that microsoft still offers .iso downloads for vista operating system do a search on the web for vista .iso files should provide a starting point.

Microsoft still offers replacement disks for a fee i believe.

you could also find somebody with a disk borrow it install vista with your number create a full system backup then create a system recovery off of this for future re-installs
