Computer help!?
10 pts to the best answer!
My moms computer is a giant mess, but for now I only need help on two issues.
1. The first is that the menu bar (file, edit, view, favorites, tools, help) is below the address bar and I want to know how do I get that up top and the address bar below it?
My husband is a computer technition so I am pretty computer savvy so I unlocked the taskbar so I can move the different tool bars around however I can't seem to get it above the address bar... anyone help?

2. No sound on my mom's PC. I checked for available windows update drivers and its not a driver issue, the sound is all hooked up properly but it doesn't seem to play anything and the computer can't seem to see that there is a sound device on the computer. Do I have to uninstall or what? I have no idea what to do with this...

3. (ok I thought of one more issue, so I lied haha), her IE seems to be really zoomed in, how do I get it to normal view? The webites I go to seem very large

Wow....okay, let's begin.

1.) You are on the right track. Unlock the task bar and move your mouse to the very left side of the group you wish to move. In this case it will be the address bar. When you move your mouse to the very left of the address bar (I mean all the way to the edge of the window) it will give you a resize icon that looks like <-->. Drag the address bar below the file, edit, view.... bar. This does not always work on the first try and you may have to move the bar all of the way to the right (like you are reading a book) and at the end of the right side it should shift down a line.

2.) Check you volume controls to make sure nothing is muted. This means going into the advanced options in the volume controller. Also, try the speakers in another computer to see if they work. If this truly is a hardware issue an error message is usually displayed to indicate that no sound adapter is installed. If there is an error message please specify.

3.) Hold down the control button and then tap the minus/dash sign until the screen comes down in size. Or, you can click on view at the top of the screen click on text size and select normal. If this does not correct your issue it may be related to a resolution issue. If that is the case, please post a follow-up.

Good luck!

1) If the computer is running IE7 this can't be changed. That's just the way Internet Explorer is. I found this quite aggravating the first time i used it.

2) If Windows can't see the sound device then it's almost surely a driver issue. Check the manufacturer's web site for the latest available audio drivers.

3) It sounds like the page is zoomed in. This is a feature of IE 7 also.

Solution for problem #1: try right-clicking on the toolbar menu and un-check mark all the toolbars available. Then try moving your 'File, Edit...etc.' toolbar to the top. (remember to unlock toolbar). That should make it a bit easier to move them around.

Solution for problem #2: Go to control panel > sound and audio devices > click on the 'Audio' tab > make sure in the Audio section that the default sound playback is selected to your sound card.

Solution for problem #3: Go to view > zoom > zoom out (to whatever you desire)

**Side note: Firefox 3.0 is much better browser than IE. Just my opinion, but you can go to this website for more information about the browser: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/?utm_id=Q108&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ppc&gclid=CNWnjbDFuJQCFQKfnAodwVjiTA#feature-vsie
