I need help setting up my windows server 2008 r2's remote desktop over the internet.

What are the required steps that needed to be done to allow this to happen?

So far I have added my domain with dcpromo.exe
Setup my dns
Configured my rdweb, it works by lan only (Need it over the web like windows sbs 2008 which was easy to setup :/)
Configured my ip4 for internet connection.
On my domain.com hosting prkvider, I added an a name to point to my ip address.

But it still doesnt work, if anyone knows what I might be doing wrong or if I missed a step.. thank you.

This sounds like a firewall issue. Make sure your required ports for RDWeb and Remote Desktop are open and being forwarded to your server(s).
