I know about the URL filter but there is just to many words to have to block and it would be easier if i could just block adult content

You can block by content (not in a home router), but you can't block by something as ambiguous as "adult content" without blocking about half the internet. Computers aren't that sophisticated yet. (Even humans aren't - try defining "adult content" not using anything like "we know" and in less than 50 words. If you can, you can block it with a simple program)

Its even harder to use router settings. You would need to block the IP addresses of every adult content page on the web. Your best bet would be a program like cybernanny or something that filters based on incoming content.

NETGEAR has a great content filtering feature while still allowing most sites to be searched. It has well defined categories, time blocks and an option to "whitelist" urls even if they are included in a particular filter .The log in for this is separate from the actual router login

Most commercial home routers don't but there are a few vendors out there that offer content filtering on their mid to high end model of routers. Check the source link.

There are Undelete softwares avilavle for windows. Search them out in the web and install them. You can also have monitor softwares which keep track of whatever keys have been evtered from the keyboard (that would get you the passwords,if any). Also you can limit the permission for a user by making the user account 'limited'. The above softwares are small and usualy free.

Depends on the router, some routers offer features to block certain websites, or traffic with certain words (must be unencrypted traffic, though).
