i have a windows deskktop with no wifi internal. i was just wondering since i have a spare airport express, can i use the airport express to access my wireless router (linksys wifi g router) to gain internet connection?
i was thinking of hooking up airport express to the ethernet port of my desktop so it would serve as a wifi adapter........ would that be possible? i cant afford to buy a belkin wifi adapter to connect to my linksys wifi router and was thinking of using my friends airport express as adapter to gain internet connection. please help thenaks.

yes you can use AIRPORT EXPRESS adaptors on windows pcs if they have a network connection in them

I can't remember the details, but your Airport setup utility should be able to give you the instructions for putting it in bridge mode.

Apple's a bit ambiguous about whether this will work with a router other than an Apple brand router though.

No this will not work. Sorry, but you can get some USB adapters for under $50.
