I have a windows xp home machine with windows password setup. I want to implement wake on lan so that it comes to the desktop screen from startup without manually entering the password. Can I provide the windows password in any way so that it can be used for authentication? I'm ok with removing the windows password, but the ssh server (with cygwin) requires a password and it's directly linked to the windows password. When I set cygwin password for a user, it sets the windows password for the same user. Is it possible to set a password for cygwin which is not linked to the windows password?

Lost your Windows 7/Vista/XP/2008/2003/2000 login password? How to log into your computer if the administrator account is locked out or if your password expires? Don't worry about it again!

How are you able to begin a pc remotely? If its shutdown, then its no longer at the community, so no pc will probably be in a position to arrive it, to begin it up. The handiest option to begin the laptop is manually. The common sense for shutting down is useful and can also be carried out within the script. Correct me if im flawed.
