How to make server from home?

I have pc that i want to make server but i don't know how to connect the pc to worldwide.
Just now only can use in Local..

Help me please..

Start IIS service on your pc.(for this go to add remove program.and then window component)

now purchase a static ip address from ISP

configure your network adapter with this ip,.

connect to internet

you are ready

but you have to connect your pc using the ip address.

Which server OS do you want to install in your server ... windows or linux or unix ...
