best adsl router for port forwarding?

hello all, does anyone know a good adsl router for port forwarding. The one i have i can't even wan ping it even though i have configured it to do so, and switching off the firewall also turns off nat (rubbish router).

The router i have is a Netgear DGN1000 and i am looking to have a ip rg45 camera as a web cam at my shop so i can view and record at home, but if i cannot even ping this router from home there is no luck in getting it working.

i also have dyndns working perfectly, thanks

maybe it's the other router that need config to get them to work.Have you open the port on that router?

Hi, your router is not list at this site, so you will have problems.

Take a look at http://www.portforward.com

This will give a list of the 100s of routers that won't cause you any problems.
